Abstract

Objectives

Del Nido Cardioplegia (DNC) provides prolonged myocardial protection with a single-dose strategy.

Methods

This retrospective study included 175 adult patients across five surgical groups (DVR, MIS‑MVR, MVR via sternotomy, AVR, congenital repairs). Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS v25. Quantitative variables were analyzed using t‑test/Mann–Whitney U; categorical variables using chi‑square/Fisher’s exact. Comparisons across groups yielded statistically significant differences (p<0.05) for ACC and CPB durations.

Results

Spontaneous sinus rhythm return ranged from 90–100% across groups. ACC and CPB times varied significantly (p<0.05). Single‑dose DNC was adequate in all cases.

Conclusion

DNC is safe and resource‑efficient in LMIC settings.
